Our company has released the Korean version of Seiko Matsuda’s iconic hit “Aoi Sangoshō (Blue Lagoon)” worldwide on August 18, as the third installment of the “J-POP REMAKE” project, which features official remakes of classic Japanese songs by Korean artists.
The song is performed by Lee Su-hyun, the lead vocalist of AKMU, one of Korea’s most prominent sibling duos. While preserving the refreshing quality and sense of freedom that evoke the summer atmosphere of the original, Lee Su-hyun’s crystal-clear vocals and expressive performance bring a fresh new appeal to the song.
The music video also features rising actress Shin Si-ah, who starred in the film “The Witch: Part 2. The Other One”. Incorporating vivid blue seas and nostalgic retro items, the video captures the essence of youthful summer.
